May 6 – August 5 from 6 – 10 pm
Midvale City Park
(455 West 7500 South)
The Midvale Arts Council is working with the Midvale Advancement Project to create an event based on a similar program in Sacramento. Sacramento Summer Night Lights (SSNL) is a violence reduction program disguised as fun. By creating a safe environment, the program fostered community growth and trust which resulted in a drastic reduction in violence. By replicating elements of SSNL, we hope to achieve the same results in Midvale. We are partnering with Salt Lake County, Midvale City, Unified Police Department, Canyons School District, the Boys & Girls Club, United Way, Copperview Recreation Center and Tyler Library.
