The Outdoor Stage in the Park houses our Summer Musical and Free Concert Series.
The outdoor facility is a basic amphitheater in Midvale City Park that is surrounded by a large grass seating area/park grounds. The amphitheater was built in 1998 and is a concrete stage with an aluminum roof. Two small dressing rooms are located behind the stage. The facility is available for use from May to August and serves as the stage for the Arts Council’s summer musical and summer concert series, the stage for the city’s Harvest Days celebration, and also serves as the focal point for the annual Cinco de Mayo celebration in Midvale.
Thanks to Salt Lake County Cultural Facilities Support, Midvale City received grant money to conduct a feasibility study on upgrades to the Outdoor Stage in the Park. This study was just finished and we will be starting a Capital Campaign to raise money to achieve some of these upgrades. While the stage has served Midvale City well for many years, there are things that could be done to improve the space for both patrons and performers. Here is a look at some renderings on the possibilities for improvement. If you would like to help make this a reality donate now
