2026 Classical Music Festival
Midvale Arts Council is thrilled to present our first ever Classical Music Festival!

Join us May 7th-9th for three nights of high-quality classical music at the historic Midvale Performing Arts Center.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, this festival is free and open to the public. Space is limited and tickets are recommended. Your free tickets can be reserved here; donations are always welcome.

Each performance will feature special opening acts by local students. The programs will run approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.
Thursday, May 7th, 7pm: Grace Trio
Grace Trio is a reed trio comprised of Amy Gabbitas (clarinet), Erika Bright (oboe), and Robert Bedont (bassoon).

Friday, May 8th, 7pm: Allante String Quartet with Bassist Alexander Willey
Allante String Quartet is comprised of Bonnie Whetten (violin), Kristi Jenkins (violin), Bradley Sampson (viola), and Rachel Burton (cello), with bassist Alexander Willey joining for the Quintet.

Glazunov- Quintet op.39

Saturday, May 9th, 7pm: Chamber Orchestra
This performance will feature Sky Island Quartet (Kristen Olson and Nicole Walton on violin, Ryan Teynor on viola, and Tamra Baca on cello), as well as members of Allante String Quartet and Grace Trio coming together to form a special chamber orchestra.

Beethoven- String Quartet in F Major op.18 no.1 (Sky Island Quartet)
Vivaldi concerto in B minor, op.3 no.10 (Sky Island Quartet and Allante String Quartet)
Bach- Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring (Sky Island Quartet, Allante String Quartet, and Grace Trio)
Haydn- Symphony no. 52 in C minor (Sky Island Quartet, Allante String Quartet, and Grace Trio)
