About The Event
David Lane is an unapologetic folkie who fell in love with Peter, Paul and Mary in front of his parent’s hi-fi. By the time high school rolled around he was trying to mimic Gordon Lightfoot’s “Carefree Highway” while his peers were enjoying AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell”. Buzzard Whiskey was born in the South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society when five choir members and acoustic pop enthusiasts began to put David's poems to music. In 2015 Buzzard Whiskey released their first album called 51. A follow-up album is due out in late 2018.
"Buzzard Whiskey is a refreshing taste of acoustic pop/folk music. Original songs mixed up with some classics, presented with thoughtful harmonies and solid musicianship. Buzzard Whiskey is a band to check out!" - Todd Schultz, Intermountain Acoustic Music Association President.
