YP10: Shatter, Ember, Whisper, Crimson, Unravel, Reckon

This Is Me, by Madeline Steadman

 

Hi said the world to me 

​

Bye said the world as I told it who I was 

​

My crimson heart shattered

​

I told my mom

​

I said mother why can no one love me 

​

And she replied you are a little ember but when you come together with others in your community you will ignite a flame

​

She said I reckon that even with a little whisper telling someone you are unique and you are proud of that you can make a difference 

​

Then I felt my heart unravel what I've kept under wraps for years and years

​

I am who I am and it's not worth all those tears
